About the book, Snatched From the Lion’s Mouth
Pastor Frederick Ossai recounts how the story began. Listen to him below:
I was a treasurer in my uncle’s business center. One fateful day, one of our occasional big-time customers walked in.
As usual, we attended to him with all pleasure. But on this particular day, hell broke loose as he had an ulterior motive unknown to us.
His bill at the end of his transaction was 10,000 naira. But he had only 6,000 Naira on him. During this era in Nigeria, there were nothing like Bank app transfers, ATM cards nor POS.
So, he beckoned on us to allow one worker to accompany him to his house which he claimed was not too far off to collect the balance money. Then, I was selected to follow him since my uncle owns the Enterprise and I’m the one who delivers the money to him on a daily basis. So, I followed him in his flashy car.
Not quite long (about ten minutes), we arrived at his house. It was indeed a mansion. After he had parked and secured everywhere, he gave me a plastic chair to sit down in front of his massive mansion with youths teaming inside the sitting room as I could clearly see them through the translucent glasses that ardond the entire expanse of the sitting room.
Once I had settled down on the chair, he went inside to bring the money as he claimed. But the next thing I saw immediately after he left were three mighty terrible Lions from one side of the house rushing towards me to devour!
Then and then, I realized that I had been taken hostage or better still kidnapped and worst of all, that I had been offered as a meal to the lions of my host!
The moment I saw the lions my heart left me! What is left is the horror and terror and wonder of God’s indefatigable mysteries at snatching His own from the devil at any cost! Read it and learn!!
Even I, to whom it happened, I still have not recovered from the thought of it all! Each moment I remember it – that the Almighty God can go at any length with the enemy to rescue his his own, I tremble!
I want you to read the full details of how God delivered me from this horrible experience.
- What happened when the lions got to me?
- What did I do? Did I sustained any injury?
- Did I hear anything from God? Did I see an angel?
- What was the reaction of my evil host and the group of boys in the house?
